Conakry on, April 6, 2020- We ask you to find below, the entire Guinea Economic Response Plan to Covid-19.

This plan, which received the approval of the President of the Republic, is broken down into 30 flagship measures for a total cost of nearly 3.5 trillion Guinean francs.

Restriction Imposed by Guinea Government

  • International restrictions:

    The country’s land and maritime borders are closed, and all international flights are suspended- humanitarian flights are excempt- until further notice. On 27 March the President announced a state of emergency, closing the borders. Quarantine measures were in force when the airport was open and those passengers showing coronavirus symptoms were taken to a government quarantine facility. COVID-19 negative certification required for entering the country.

PRIMATURE: THE PRIME MINISTER, HEAD OF GOVERNMENT TESTED NEGATIVE TO COVID-19

Conakry, April 14, 2020 – As part of response activities against COVID-19, the ANSS carried out screening tests on His Excellency the Prime Minister, Head of Government as well as on all of his cabinet and the civilian and military personnel of the Prime Minister’s office, April 6, 7 and 8, 2020.

The test of his SEM Prime Minister Dr Ibrahima Kassory Fofana and several of his main collaborators turned out negative.

Only two of them tested positive for COVID-19.

They were immediately taken care of by the ANSS services according to the protocol in force.

The Prime Minister reminds everyone of the importance of barrier gestures and invites the population to follow the instructions issued by the World Health Organization, the Government and the health authorities at all levels.

The Prime Minister wishes a speedy recovery to all Covid 19 patients.
